Our story
An education house, not a chain
Founded in 1997 with a single fashion college in Bagbazar, Kathmandu, IEC Group has grown into one of Nepal's most quietly consequential education houses. Each institution keeps its own character and faculty; all of them share the same insistence on rigour, taste and care for the student in the room.
What began as a small studio now spans early childhood centres, an IB World School, a design and IT college, an overseas study consultancy and a development company — taught by over 500 faculty, with an alumni network of some fifty thousand across Nepal and abroad. Every campus sits inside the Kathmandu valley, while students come from all 77 districts.

Sona Deepak
Where creativity meets technology
Sona Deepak studied at Kodaikanal International School in India and went on to the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, and leads business development across the IEC Group.
He works at the meeting point of creativity and technology — aligning the group's programmes with international standards through academic partnerships such as the one with Teesside University in the UK, industry-facing curricula, and new ventures in IT and overseas study.
His most recent work includes taking IEC into short, job-focused technology courses, launching Metaphor Abroad Consultancy to guide Nepali students towards further study overseas, and backing Sajilo Ghar as the group's on-demand home services venture.

Opened Nepal's first professional fashion and interior design institution in Bagbazar in 1997, brought EuroKids to Nepal a decade later and went on to establish Euro School. She leads the IEC Group of Companies and serves as principal of Euro School.
